Siena College Map
This interactive map details the 5,105 eviction proceedings in the City of Albany between 2019-2020 retrieved from the Office of Court Administration. All landlords registered as LLCs are displayed as business. Each data point includes: if code violations were present, what the court decision was, if the tenants’ housing was lost, if the sheriff executed an eviction; the homes approximate longitudinal and latitudinal location (to protect identities of those involved), the neighborhood the home was located in, and the corresponding Common Council district.
This data was collected, prepared, and is presented by Professor Cynthia Bott and Kate Meierdiercks of Siena College.
