50th Anniversary Celebration
United Tenants of Albany (UTA) has served the Capital District community for a remarkable 50 years!
We invite you to join us in celebrating this important milestone on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 6 pm at the Albany Labor Temple at 890 3rd Street in Albany. Our Celebration will feature recognitions and awards, refreshments, a raffle, all for more than 200 community members – your contribution helps make this accessible for your neighbors. Sponsors from local businesses, as well as our Honorary Committee, will not only help us cover any costs for the event, but will also help support our programs by providing much needed unrestricted funds. There are approximately 60 parking spots and a surplus of off-street parking.
2023 brings many challenges and many opportunities. The mission of UTA is to protect tenants’ rights for safe, decent and affordable housing, with a special emphasis on those who have the greatest need or who experience the most severe problems. Importantly, UTA also promotes the development and preservation of more affordable housing and works collaboratively to find long term solutions in our community. UTA makes a tremendous, positive impact on our community each year UTA makes a tremendous, positive impact on our community each year. See our 2022 annual report here.
